Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.
While working on our game this weekend, I got my butt soundly kicked by Jason in 3D Math. I honestly had no clue what the hell he was talking about at one point. So... I decided to break down and read a book on the subject.

Currently I'm working my way through the 3D Math Primer for Graphics and Game Development by Wordware. Unfortunately the code examples are in C++, but the majority of the book should still prove useful.

It's just one of those things I never gave much (any) thought to when working on HA! and I never realized how little I comprehended it until I needed it. Next time I'll be ready. Posted on Thursday, January 11, 2007 11:38 AM | Back to top

Funny, and I here I am thinking the exact same thing about Physics. After trying to correct the ship's control behavior, I came to the conclusion that I truly know jack squat about Physics (well, at least not enough to do a decent job at programming the ship behavior).
